IBSL braving the cold: CEO Sleepout Northeast to combat homelessness
A huge congratulations to Steven Renney, Managing Director of IBSL Group, and Brett Sylph, UK Sales Director at MW INSULATION LTD, who braved the cold on the 7th of November at Sunderland A.F.C., joining CEO Sleepout UK Northeast, to raise awareness and funds for homelessness and poverty. Despite being experts in manufacturing top-quality Phenolic Pipe Insulation, even they couldn’t insulate themselves fully against the challenges of a night on the stands!
This experience serves as a stark reminder that, no matter the circumstances, there should be no discrimination when it comes to homelessness and poverty. As Steve Renney put it: “We firmly support the CEO Sleepout Northeast, and the charities associated to it, as the seriousness of homelessness and poverty is only getting worse in our ever-changing economic climate. The work the charities do in helping people living on the streets, those struggling with addiction, and just getting by day to day, is more essential than ever. We believe that every individual deserves dignity and care, and the work the charities do to support them is immeasurable."
Spanish IPCOM Group companies united in charity
Last October 29th in Valencia (Spain), a significant natural disaster known as the DANA occurred. DANA stands for 'Depresión Aislada en Niveles Altos,' which literally means "isolated depression”. It refers to severe weather due to large temperature differences and instability, causing intense thunderstorms.
This weather event disrupted the lives of many people in Spain, leaving them without housing or businesses, and significantly impacting their daily routines. The IPCOM Group and its three Spanish companies—ISOPARTNER Spain, Gaisven, and Flexicel Group—have collaborated to provide assistance to affected families and businesses, contributing towards a return to normalcy.
Additionally, ISOPARTNER Spain visited the affected areas in Valencia to deliver necessary materials. Grupo Flexicel established a collaboration agreement with a company that lost its factory in the DANA, offering its facilities in Barcelona free of charge to support the continuation of its production activities.

Insulcon Venice strives for mobility for everyone
For the upcoming biennium, Insulcon Venice will continue its support for Progetti del Cuore. This initiative aims to provide a fleet of transport vehicles used daily to assist people with disabilities, the elderly, sick individuals, children in need, and other vulnerable groups. By purchasing advertising space on these vehicles, Insulcon Venice underscores its commitment to the community. These vehicles, made available to local communities, help improve the lives of those less fortunate, enabling individuals whose independence is limited to become more self-sufficient.
Alara-Lukagro loves silence, but also offering support to the community
Since there are no mountains in the polder of Groot-Ammers, where Alara-Lukagro is based, the local “Cycling Club Jan van Arckel” has organized an annual Mountain Trail Bike (MTB) winter competition since 2014. The event takes place across 8 villages and one small town near Alara-Lukagro. Alara-Lukagro is proud to support this local initiative by sponsoring the races in both Groot-Ammers and the charming town of Nieuwpoort.
The event has two main goals: to keep people of all ages active, and to raise funds for charity projects in the participating villages. The costs are mainly covered by local sponsorships and volunteers, with businesses providing prizes and Alara-Lukagro supplying banners for the start & finish line. The event’s organization is made possible thanks to volunteers such as Cees van Dijk, part of the Alara-Lukagro team. Participants range from ages 6 to 60+, with 240 to 400 registrations per village. The 2025 race in Groot-Ammers took place on January 4, and photos capture the event’s fun atmosphere.
