ESG IPCOM

ESG is running at full speed

20.06.2024
At IPCOM sustainability isn’t a buzzword, it’s a commitment. We’re actively engaged in various initiatives towards a more sustainable future, both at group level and in the local businesses.

ESG-page

We are proud to announce the launch of the new ESG-page on the IPCOM-website. With this page we aim to inform our stakeholders what we stand for and which sustainability path we want to follow. Besides information about various ESG-topics, also the link to our anonymous whistleblower platform can be accessed here, as well as our ESG-policies, such as the IPCOM Environmental & Sustainability Policy and the IPCOM Labour & Human Rights Policy.

Double Materiality Assessment

In the light of the Green Deal, Europe introduced the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). In compliance with this new law, IPCOM will need to report its sustainability performance as of 2025. To determine which KPI’s we’ll need to report, we are currently undertaking the Double Materiality Assessment. This will help us to better understand and prioritize the sustainability topics that are important to our business and stakeholders.

Other ESG actions at Corporate

Earlier this year, we’ve been working on our carbon footprint assessment. These results are currently being finetuned in preparation of setting SBTi targets. We also launched the Labour and Human Rights Policy earlier this year and organized the Employee Engagement Survey. Last but not least, we are in the process of renewing our EcoVadis certificate. A good EcoVadis score is a token of commitment to sustainability and is increasingly demanded by customers and other stakeholders.

Also our local companies are driving various initiatives, demonstrating a commitment to environmental sustainability.

Flexicel Let's clean up Europe

Flexicel joins “Let’s clean up Europe”

From May 10th to 12th, the European campaign "Let's Clean Up Europe" was actively promoting responsible waste disposal practices across the continent. The committed sales teams from Flexicel Spain and Portugal joined forces to tackle the issue directly, undertaking a 5km journey around the Spanish plant to address the problem of illegal waste dumping in forests. Together, they collected 24.5 kg of waste, including a significant quantity of plastic, cans, etc. These materials do not only harm our environment but also pose a threat to our ecosystems. A great shout out to Flexicel!

Let's continue to work together to protect our planet and make a positive impact.
