Let’s reduce our carbon footprint

30.05.2022

When you drive your car, heat up your home or cook a dinner, you contribute to the emission of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. It’s your carbon footprint. Many countries, institutions and companies have committed to reduce their emissions while the EU has even set the objective of being “climate neutral” by 2050.

With a product portfolio of insulation solutions, we help our customers to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency. As we all know, the overall benefits from insulation are numerous, including thermal performance, personal comfort, sound control, condensation control and fire protection. By selling insulation materials, our business contributes to important energy and environmental benefits.

But.. we want to do more than this. We aim not only to help our customers to reduce their emissions. We also want to reduce our own carbon footprint. Because it is everyone’s responsibility to reduce CO2 emissions instead of shifting it to society and future generations.

To put this idea into life, IPCOM launched a project together with an external advisory partner “CO2 Logic”. In the first phase of this project, all local companies will measure their current footprint (e.g. energy & heat consumption at the company facilities, company vehicles, etc). Next step is to develop sustainability strategies and set targets in order to increase efficiency and reduce our footprint.

How can you reduce your carbon footprint?
